Britain: On the anti-India activities of Khalistanis, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said – any kind of fundamentalism is not acceptable. Protesting does not mean spreading violence in its name. Our government is working seriously with the Government of India to counter this divisive and violent ideology.
Sunak said this in an interview given to PTI 3 days before coming to the G20 summit. Sunak will visit India for the first time after becoming Prime Minister.
Sunak mentioned India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar’s meeting with Britain’s Security Minister. It was decided that Britain would spend Rs 1 crore to control the Khalistanis.
In fact, after the attack on the Indian High Commission in London in March, concerns had increased in India about the activities of Khalistan supporters in Britain. Then India demanded strict action from Britain.
Sunak has also given a statement regarding the free trade agreement between India and Britain. He has said that this deal will happen only when it is in the interest of Britain. A few days ago, questions related to conflict of interest were raised regarding the free trade agreement between the two countries.
Actually, Sunak’s wife Akshata Murthy has a stake worth billions of dollars in India’s Infosys company, but Akshata still does not have UK citizenship. This is the reason why Sunak’s political opponents keep raising questions on this issue. Sunak has also had to face problems due to this. Those who question Sunak say that Akshata Murthy can benefit from the free trade agreement.
