Britain: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak attended Morari Bapu’s Ramkatha on Tuesday. This Ramkatha is happening at Cambridge University, UK. Here Sunak said that he has joined this narrative not as a PM but as a Hindu. During this, he also raised the slogan of Jai Shri Ram.
Rishi Sunak said- Religion is very personal for me. It guides me in every aspect of life. It is an honor to be the Prime Minister, but it is not an easy task. Here you have to take tough decisions. Religion gives me the courage and strength to do the best for the country. Ram always inspires me. They teach us to face life’s challenges with courage, rule with humility, and work selflessly.
He further said- When I was Chancellor, lighting lamps outside 11 Downing Street on Diwali was a very special moment for me. I am proud to be a Hindu and also proud to be British.

Rishi Sunak also remembered his childhood in Ramkatha. He said- In childhood, we used to go to the local temple. There my family used to perform havan, puja, and aarti. After this, I used to share the prasad with my siblings and cousins.
Sunak said that he follows Ramayana as well as Bhagavad Gita and Hanuman Chalisa. He also thanked Morari Bapu. Sunak said that just as there is a golden picture of Hanuman ji behind Morari Bapu’s seat, similarly a golden idol of Ganesh ji is kept on my office table. His statue constantly reminds me of the need to listen and think before acting.
