Nahargarh means – the abode of tigers
Nahargarh Fort, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort – these three together provide security to the city of Jaipur. The name of Nahargarh Fort was earlier Sudarshan Garh Fort, in this fort 12 special rooms were made for the queens to stay and a beautiful room was made for the king of Jaipur.

Construction Reason– It was constructed to protect from the invasion of Marathas.

Nahargarh Biological Park is located near the fort.
And apart from this, the umbrellas of the Kachwaha dynasty (gator umbrellas) are located near this fort.
