North Korea: North Korea has fired several cruise missiles into the Yellow Sea. This information has been given by the South Korean army. North Korea launched these missiles on Saturday morning. A few days before this, North Korea had tested two ballistic missiles near its east coast. North Korea called it a fake nuclear attack on South Korea.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in its statement that the missiles were fired towards the Yellow Sea. These were launched at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning local time.
Intelligence agencies of America and South Korea are investigating the launching details. According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, the Joint Chief said that our army has maintained its preparedness with America.
This is the second missile test by North Korea in 3 days. Earlier on Thursday i.e. 31st August, two short-range ballistic missiles were launched. This simulated nuclear attack exercise was conducted in preparation to target South Korea’s military command centers and airfields. After this test, North Korea said that if necessary, it would capture South Korea too.
The simulation is seen as a response to the 11-day exercise between South Korea and the US. North Korea was continuously calling this exercise a preparation for an attack on itself. During this exercise, an American B-1B bomber also flew over the Korean Peninsula.
