Like every year, a grand procession will be taken out in Sikar on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. This year, it is expected that around 50 to 60 thousand people will participate in the procession. The city administration has made elaborate security arrangements, with approximately 1200 policemen being deployed for the safety of the devotees.
Drone Cameras to Monitor the Procession
City Kotwal Pawan Kumar Choubey informed that the entire procession will be monitored by two government drones and more than a dozen private drones. A trial run of the drone camera was conducted in the police line premises of Sikar today. The procession will start from Raghunath Temple at 4 pm and will reach Ramlila Maidan via different parts of the city.
Attractions in the Shobha Yatra
The procession will include around 50 different tableaux, including the Chhatri dance of Jalore, a 12-feet Jeevan Hanuman tableau, a Nashik Dhol band of 60 people, and a tableau of Ayodhya’s Ram temple made of sawdust. Two helicopters will shower flowers during the procession, adding to the festive vibe. The procession will end with Maha Aarti at Ramlila Maidan with over 10,000 lamps.
Traffic and Safety Measures
Traffic Incharge Amar Singh informed that the service lane of Bajaj Road and Sheikhpura Mohalla service lane will be used during the Shobha Yatra. The entire traffic of the city will be deployed during the procession to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of the devotees. People from nearby villages up to 20 km from Sikar are expected to participate in the procession.
