At the same time, due to water filling in a tunnel in the Cheongju area, 15 vehicles including a bus got stuck there on Sunday. So far the bodies of 9 people have been recovered from the tunnel. Officials believe that these people could not escape in time and died due to drowning. 10 people are still being reported missing.

Due to this, people have been removed from the surrounding villages. According to South Korea’s Interior Ministry report, 25,470 homes have been without electricity for a week.
20 flights have been canceled due to bad weather. Along with this, the speed of the train has also been reduced due to water logging on the tracks. 200 roads have also been closed.
Around 59 cases of damage to public property were reported, including 18 reports of destruction of roads. Meanwhile, 80 cases of damage to private property have been reported.
