On hearing the name of Khalistan, horrifying pictures of waving swords, guns and sticks emerge in people’s mind. Thousands of people have died in the country due to the Khalistani movement. Khalistani are gradually spreading their wings outside India in many other countries including UK, Canada and Australia. Pakistan may have never accepted this, but its role behind the Khalistan movement is not hidden from anyone.
Who raised Khalistan against India?
A video of Zaid Hamid, a senior defense expert of Pakistan and who has deep access to the Pakistani Army, is going viral, in which he is seen saying that he raised the issue of Khalistan against India. It was his country’s plan to humiliate India. Defense expert Hamid said in a video shared by Twitter handle Pakistan Untold, “We formed the Sikh movement in the 80s, then India started avenging 1971.”

In the video, the Pakistani defense expert further says, ‘We have revived the Kashmiri Jihad.’ They were helped in different parts of India like Naga, Assam, Naxalite, Maoist, North East where there were already movements for independence. Sri Lanka was helped to fight the Tamil Tigers.
In the 1980s when violence and unrest in Punjab was at its peak, every Indian was aware of Pakistan’s role in it. Through Operation Blue Star, the government crushed the Khalistan movement but its fire kept burning. People are very surprised by this incident which took place two-three days back in Ajnala, Amritsar, Punjab. Amritpal Singh, head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization and his supporters had stormed the police station for the release of his close friend. The protesters attacked the police.
Hindu temples targeted in Australia-Canada
A few days back, several Hindu temples were targeted and vandalized in Australia and Canada. Members of the pro-Khalistan movement were directly held responsible for these incidents. The Government of India reacted strongly to these incidents. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also recently said in a stern tone regarding the Khalistani incidents that his government will not allow it to flourish.
