Pakistan: Pakistan’s Punjab Police has arrested 160 out of 170 accused in the case of setting fire to the church. Police say that no person responsible for the incident will be spared. Since this incident, 6500 policemen have been deployed in the area.
On 16 August, fanatics set fire to 21 churches in Jaranwala, Punjab province. The houses of Christians were first looted, then they were also set on fire. Radical groups allege that these churches are promoting blasphemy.
According to local media reports, a man posted blasphemous material on social media. In this, the pages of the Quran were insulted. After this vandalism and arson started in the Jaranwala area.
In this case, the police arrested the person who posted the provocative post. A case has been registered against him under the Terrorism Act.
