During the Russia-Ukraine war, a flood situation has arisen after a large dam broke in the Kherson province of southern Ukraine occupied by Russia. Meanwhile, Ukrainian rescuers are busy evacuating people from the Kherson region. Which has also been appreciated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the efforts of relief and rescue workers involved in evacuating people trapped in the floods. The President of Ukraine said that ‘I visited a crossing point in Kherson (flood affected area), where people are being evacuated from the flooded areas. Our job is to save lives and help as many people as possible. I thank the rescue workers and volunteers. I thank all those involved in this work.
Significantly, Zelensky visited the flood-affected areas on Thursday. Earlier, Zelensky had taken the name of Russian terrorism for breaking the dam. Zelensky also tweeted a video from the area in which he can be seen meeting with officials. According to the AFP report, there was tight security before Zelensky reached Kherson.
Дякую всім у світі, хто засуджує… pic.twitter.com/9Gg8dXifZK
