International: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the Indian diaspora in the US at the Ronald Reagan Center. During this, he said that he is happy that the US government has decided to return the hundred ancient artifacts stolen from India.
Significantly, in an effort to enrich the cultural and spiritual heritage of India, the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is bringing back antiquities and artifacts from around the world. On several foreign visits, the Prime Minister has discussed this with global leaders and multilateral institutions.
Even in 2022, the US authorities returned 307 ancient artifacts to India, which were stolen by several smuggling networks. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg Jr. announced in October 2022 that he was returning 307 ancient artifacts worth approximately $4 million to India.
Addressing members of the Indian community at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Modi said the full potential of the India-US partnership is yet to be realized. The relationship between the two countries is focused on making the world better again in the 21st century.
