US: Vietnam wants to enhance its relations with the United States and wants to become a major partner. Biden made the remarks while speaking at a political fundraising event in New Mexico.

According to Biden, the “head of Vietnam” called him for a meeting on his trip to India for the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 9-10. The US President spoke by phone in March with Nguyen Phu Trong, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who wanted us to be a major partner with Russia and China.
