Rocks are being brought from Nepal for the installation of idols of Lord Rama and Mother Sita in the grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. Its name is Shaligram Shilakhand which is found in the Gandaki river of Nepal. Shaligram is considered to be the idol of Lord Vishnu. Thakurji is worshiped in Hindu homes and temples are built with this stone.
The Shaligram boulder will reach Kushinagar on 31 January.
These rocks are being brought by loading them on a big truck. Devotees are coming out of their homes to visit the stones decorated with garlands of flowers and also offer prayers. A video has surfaced of such excited people in Nepal who are also seen posing for photographs with rocks.
Ram Mandir will be opened for common devotees in 2024. Here the temple is being constructed in such a way that the rays of the sun will fall on the forehead of Lord Rama.
The idol of Ramlala will be made on the design of Mumbai’s Fine Arts Professor Basdev Kamat. All the devotees are desperate to visit the Ram temple.
