There has been a suicide attack in Pakistan, in which 12 policemen have died. 40 people have been injured after the blast. The blast took place at the Kabal police station in the Swat district of Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Department.
Police officials have confirmed the suicide attack. Imdad Khan, a police officer who was injured in the attack, said the incident took place at 8.20 pm, Dawn reported. The blast took place at the police station where the Counter Terrorism Department building and a mosque are located.
People told that the explosion was so strong that three buildings collapsed. Every other fire broke out soon after this explosion. Imdad Khan said that he was in the kitchen when the blast took place. He told that he heard two explosions.
Police said that many people are buried under the debris. While the injured are being taken to the nearest hospital. Emergency has been declared in all the nearby hospitals.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also expressed grief over the incident. So far no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. But it is believed that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan may be behind this attack.
