Bollywood: Dev Kohli, the lyricist of films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and Baazigar, has passed away. He breathed his last on 26 August at the age of 81.
Dev Kohli was born on 2 November 1942 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. In 1949 he came to Delhi. His childhood was spent in Dehradun. He started his career in 1969 with the film Gunda.
Talking to Indian Express, Dev Kohli’s spokesperson Pritam Sharma informed about his death. He told- Kohli Ji that he had been running ill for the last few months and was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. He breathed his last in his sleep on Saturday morning.
Dev Kohli has written songs for more than 100 Bollywood films. He did Yeh Kali Kali Aankhen (Baazigar), Mai Ni Mai, Didi Tera Devar Deewana, Pehla Pehla Pyar (Hum Aapke Hain Koun), O Saki Saki (Musafir), Chhote Chhote Bhai Ke Bade Bhaiya (Hum Saath Saath Hain), Hus Chalti Wrote popular songs like Hai Kya 9 Se 12, Oonchi Hai Building (Judwaa).
