China, which bought donkeys from Pakistan, is now preparing to bring monkeys from Sri Lanka. Three rounds of talks have also taken place between China and Sri Lanka in this regard, but the final decision is yet to be taken.
Many senior ministers of the Sri Lankan government are in favor of exporting monkeys to China. They argue that agriculture in Sri Lanka is suffering a lot because of the monkeys. So there is no harm in exporting 1 lakh monkeys to China. He also says that China is also bearing the cost of capturing and exporting these monkeys.
It is being claimed that China will keep these monkeys in the zoo, although monkey meat is also very popular in this country.
Sri Lankan Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera claims that the monkeys sent to China will not be used for meat. The Chinese government will bear the cost of catching these monkeys and sending them to China.
Mahinda says that it costs about 5 thousand Sri Lankan rupees to catch a monkey in Sri Lanka. Now China is ready to spend up to Rs 50,000 to capture, keep and send the monkey. In such a situation, Sri Lanka is seeing profits and earnings in this.
