India celebrates International Yoga Day:-
The ninth International Yoga Day is being celebrated in the country on Wednesday. One lakh people did yoga together in Surat. On the other hand, officers and jawans of the Indian Army performed yoga from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The soldiers made it easy even in the desert of Rajasthan. This year its theme is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
PM Modi said in a video message from America, ‘Yoga has become a global feeling’. On the other hand, the Navy formed an ‘Ocean Ring of Yoga’ on the occasion. Around 3,500 sailors on 19 ships of the Indian Navy covered a distance of 35,000 km as ambassadors of Yoga in national and international waters.
The ships were at port calls at Chittagong in Bangladesh, Safaga in Egypt, Jakarta in Indonesia, Mombasa in Kenya, Tomasina in Madagascar, Muscat in Oman, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Phuket in Thailand, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). From here he made ‘Ocean Ring of Yoga’. These include the Kiltan, Chennai, Shivalik, Sunayana, Trishul, Tarkash, Vagir, Sumitra, and Brahmaputra ships.
PM Modi issued a video message from America saying that he will participate in the Yoga Day program at the UN.
