On Thursday, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the launch of the New Marmalade Development Company. It aims to develop the world’s largest modern city in Riyadh. The government also released a video related to the promotion of the city, which is going viral. It depicts a cuboidal, hollow structure of golden colour. It is being told that its work has also started. This massive golden cube was also claimed to have the capacity to hold 20 buildings the size of the Empire State Building.
According to Arab News, New Murabba will include a museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose theater and cultural venues, among other entertainment and cultural venues. The Saudi government is also planning to merge residential units, entertainment areas, hotels and restaurants in New Murabba.

There has been an uproar on social media after a video of this huge structure surfaced. Many say it is an attempt by the Saudi authorities to divert attention from the Kaaba in Mecca.
