India had last year sought to declare the leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) as a global terrorist, but China had blocked it. In June 2022, India joined the United Nations Sanctions Committee, also known as the UNSC 1267 Committee. Under this, China’s proposal to list Pak terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki was criticized on international forums, but now the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Monday listed Pakistan’s terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist.
Makki is the brother-in-law (sister’s husband) of Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed. China has been supporting this Pakistani terrorist for a long time, but after being included in the list of Global Terrorist, China has changed its stand.
China on Tuesday said the list of terrorists for top Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Abdul Rehman Makki is conducive to enhancing global anti-terror cooperation. China also praised Islamabad for supporting the counter-terrorism efforts.
Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs tweeted for this

Syed Akbaruddin, who was India’s permanent representative in the United Nations, also tweeted
Earlier it took us more than a decade to designate Masood Azhar & now it took us 7 months to designate Abdul Rehman Makki. You can now see the level of pressure India is mounting now & is a success: Syed Akbaruddin pic.twitter.com/BkXkVf9h3m

It is clear from all this that China has also understood very well that for so many days it was trying to save Pakistan because China was on one side with Pakistan while the rest of the countries were with India. This makes it clear that this time China was also feeling the pressure on itself.
