Turkish Ambassador to India Firat Sunel on Thursday took to Twitter to thank a group of Indian citizens who donated 100 blankets to Turkey’s earthquake victims. He has shared a picture of a letter. Which started with the message ‘Sending Love from India’.
It is further said in this letter that ‘Our best regards to all the people of Turkey. Just two days ago, we all are very worried about the loss of life and property in the natural disaster in Turkey, in this hour of crisis, we all Indians are standing with Turkey in this hour of grief. God bless Turkey and give it courage to deal with this trouble. The letter is signed by Kuldeep, Amarjeet, Sukhdev and Gaurav.
Turkish Ambassador Firat Sunel captioned the post that ‘sometimes words have a deeper meaning than their meaning in the dictionary, such as the blanket donation by an Indian family.’

Since then, this post has got more than 1.22 lakh views and 2756 likes. The noble gesture was widely appreciated by social media users and several comments poured in with wishes for the well being of the earthquake survivors. One user wrote that ‘Thank you and love from the bottom of my heart for the people of Turkey. I wish you a speedy recovery from this disaster. All of us Indians are praying for our brothers in Turkey and Syria. God bless both the friendly countries.
India has launched Operation Dost to provide assistance to Turkey and Syria to help people in earthquake-ravaged Turkey. So far India has sent search and rescue teams to dig through the rubble and find survivors. Along with this, many medical teams have also been sent with necessary medical supplies.
