Entertainment: Bank of Baroda has withdrawn the auction notice of actor Sunny Deol’s Juhu bungalow within 24 hours. The bank issued a rebuttal in the newspapers on Monday and said – Due to technical reasons this notice is being withdrawn. In such a situation, Sunny Deol’s property will not be auctioned.
The bank also informed that after receiving the notice on August 20, Sunny Deol himself approached the bank to clear the dues. Apart from this, there were three more reasons for withdrawing this notice.
Earlier, according to the notice published on Sunday, Sunny had taken a loan of Rs 56 crore, which he did not repay. On non-payment of the loan, the date of auction of the bungalow was also given on 25 September.
The bank had also published an advertisement for a loan recovery notice from Sunny. In this, the name of Father Dharmendra was also written as Sunny’s guarantor.
Bollywood actor and BJP MP from Punjab’s Gurdaspur Sunny Deol is in the headlines these days for the film Gadar-2. The film is close to earning Rs 400 crore. Meanwhile, the bank had issued a notice to him for not repaying the loan of Rs 56 crore.
Initially, the bank had said that this notice is being withdrawn only due to technical problems. However, later Bank of Baroda issued a statement saying that as per the bank’s notice on August 20, Sunny Deol had approached the bank to clear the dues.
