Shambhavi Singh, a young entrepreneur, hails from Bihar and grew up in Deoghar. She faced several challenges early on in her life as her father passed away when she was young. Being the elder sibling, the responsibility of running the house fell on her shoulders, and she started working part-time while continuing her studies.
After completing her schooling, Shambhavi went to Kolkata to pursue a course in journalism from NSHM College. The city had a significant impact on her life and played the role of a mentor. She got exposed to various subjects like literature, art, and feminism and learned a lot from the city’s diverse culture.
Shambhavi started her career in journalism with NDTV in 2010 and later worked with big platforms like Times of India, Telegraph, HT, Youth Ki Awaaz, and Red FM. She covered various subjects like education, politics, tourism, and fashion and gained knowledge and experience in every format of journalism.
After working for several years, Shambhavi decided to start her own business of handloom sarees. Her aim was to promote and preserve the traditional art of handloom weaving and provide a platform to the weavers to showcase their work. She launched her brand, which offers a wide range of handloom sarees in different styles and designs.
Shambhavi’s journey from a small town to a successful businesswoman is an inspiration to many. Despite facing several challenges, she never gave up and worked hard to achieve her goals. Her story teaches us that with dedication and hard work, one can overcome any obstacle and achieve success in life.
