Salman Khan’s latest release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which hit the theatres on April 21, has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. The movie has successfully passed the Sunday litmus test by earning a whopping Rs 26.61 crore, followed by a remarkable Rs 10.17 crore on Monday. With these numbers, the film’s total collection stands at around Rs 78.34 crore reportedly.
KKBKKJ, which is a remake of the Ajith-starrer Veeram, is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. It stars Salman Khan in the lead role alongside Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Venkatesh, and Ram Charan in a special appearance.
Masses Driving the Box Office Business
Despite the fact that KKBKKJ had a slow start on its opening day, the movie saw a remarkable surge in collections over the first weekend. The film’s excellent box office performance on Monday, especially in mass circuits and Hindi belt, has been attributed to Salman Khan’s star power and the movie’s mass-market family entertainment appeal.
Occupancy Figures and Early Trends
As per early trends, the Monday morning shows recorded a low 7.53 per cent occupancy, which steadily grew to 12.72 per cent for afternoon shows. In the evening, the occupancy went up further to 19.80 per cent, followed by 21.50 per cent for night shows. Meanwhile, the movie’s overall 15.39 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday reflects the audiences’ interest in the film.
