International: The effect of the friendship between China and Russia is now visible in Taiwan as well. On Tuesday, Taiwan detected two Russian warships off its east coast. After this, Taiwan deployed its aircraft and warships to monitor the activities of Russian ships.
Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense said in a statement late Tuesday that the Russian warships were seen moving from south to north in the waters off our east coast at 11 p.m. local time.
The statement said that the Russian warships moved from our response area in a southeast direction from the port city of Suao in Taiwan. Taiwan also has a major naval base in Suao.
Taiwan did not say how far the Russian warships were from its coast. Taiwan often detects the presence of Chinese ships and warships around it. China has claimed Taiwan from the beginning and does not rule out the possibility of using force for it.
However, the presence of Russian warships in the region is more unusual. This is seen in connection with Russia’s friendship with China. China and Russia have greatly strengthened their friendship with America and other Western countries.
