There was a lot of uproar in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was replying to the motion of thanks on the President’s address, the MPs of the opposition parties, including the Congress, created a ruckus. Opposition MPs raised slogans of ‘Modi-Adani Bhai-Bhai’ during Modi’s speech. Opposition MPs raised slogans demanding a JPC probe into the Adani case. PM Modi’s speech continued amid heavy uproar. The Chairman of Rajya Sabha appealed to the opposition parties to remain calm but no one listened.
The Prime Minister said that some people are trying to disappoint India. Taking a jibe at the MPs who were creating a ruckus, the Prime Minister said in a poetic way, ‘The mud was with him, the gulal was with him, the one who had it, he bounced it.’ The Prime Minister said that the intention of the Congress family may have been there for 60 years, but they made a mess. Six decades wasted. At that time, small countries were moving forward. The people of the country were facing problems, but the priority of the Congress governments was different. No permanent solution has been given to any problem. Today we are moving towards a permanent solution to all the problems.
PM Modi said that when someone comes to the government, he brings one or the other promise for the country, but nothing happens just by expressing feelings. What is the pace of development, what is the foundation, direction, effort and result of development, it matters a lot. He said that our priority was the citizens of the country, so we gave gas connections to more than 25 crore families. In this we had to spend new infrastructure and money. There were more than 18,000 villages where electricity did not reach. Within the time limit, we electrified 18,000 villages.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that yesterday Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge was complaining that Modi ji repeatedly comes to my constituency. I want to tell them that I will come, you have seen, but you should also see that 1 crore 70 lakh Jan Dhan bank accounts have been opened there. More than 8 lakh Jan Dhan accounts have been opened in Kalaburagi alone. Seeing this, I can understand his (Mallikarjun Kharge) pain. You talk about Dalits, also see that Dalits got victory in the elections there too. Now people are rejecting you, that’s why you are here crying about it.
