Before Army Day, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey addressed the annual press conference in the capital Delhi. The Army Chief said that the situation on the northern border is under control. He said, continuous talks are being held with China at the military and diplomatic level. The situation is absolutely under control. He said, India’s army is ready to deal with every difficulty, every situation.
General Manoj Pandey further said, at present the situation on the northern border is absolutely stable, although it is unpredictable. He said, 5 out of 7 issues have been resolved in talks with China. We have continued to talk both at the military and diplomatic levels. We have adequate reserves to meet any contingency.

Pointing towards Pakistan on the Rajouri incident, General Manoj Pandey said, our enemies are doing target killing. Target killings are taking place against the minorities in the south of the Pir Panjal range. Infiltration attempts are increasing in the south of Pir Panjal i.e. Jammu region and on the international border. Both BSF and Army are preventing infiltration of drones. He said that jammers have been procured, the result of which is good.
Manoj Pandey said this on ceasefire
Apart from this, regarding the ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Pandey said, here also the situation is completely under control. However, there is a lot of support for terrorism from across the border and despite this, there has been a huge decrease in violent incidents. Manoj Pandey has talked about peace in most of the North Eastern states. He said that economic activities and development initiatives have yielded good results.
Manoj Pandey spoke from Joshimath
Talking on the Joshimath crisis, Manoj Pandey said, we have temporarily shifted our jawans. If needed, we will permanently deploy our jawans in Auli. There are some cracks in the road believed to be Joshimath, which is being repaired by BRO. This has not affected our operational preparedness. The general further said, as far as providing help to the local people is concerned, we have given our hospitals, helipads etc. to the civil administration so that they can temporarily shift the people.
