The economic condition of Pakistan has become very bad at this time. Dollar reserves are falling and its effect is now visible on the airlines. Due to this economic crisis, the flights coming to the country are also completely empty.
Pakistan’s Shabahat Ali Shah has tweeted such a picture, after which the situation in the country can be gauged. It was warned a few days ago that the condition of the country is so bad that foreign airlines may have to struggle a lot. Looks like this warning has now turned into reality.
Full Book Return Flight
Shabahat Ali Shah is the CEO and chairman of the National Information Technology Board (NITB) of Pakistan. Discussion has started on Twitter after a picture of him. Ali Shah was going from Istanbul in Turkey to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. But the flight from which he was coming was completely empty.
Ali Shah tweeted the photo and wrote, ‘Empty flight from Istanbul to Islamabad. I’m alone in the cabin. Till a year ago, this flight used to be full and there was no place in the waiting list. What has happened?’
Responding to another tweet, Ali Shah said that the flight attendant informed him that the flight would return to Istanbul in full. After this some people wrote to him in reply that it seems people want to go out of Pakistan but do not want to come back to this country.
IATA warned
A few days back, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) warned that times ahead in debt-ridden Pakistan could be challenging for foreign airlines. According to the organization, 290 million dollars are stuck in different parts of the country. This figure was three times more than in December 2021.
On behalf of the association, it was said that after Nigeria, Pakistan is the second country where a large amount of foreign money is stuck. A report quoted IATA’s Asia Pacific chief Philip Goh as saying that airlines are facing delays in getting their funds back.
