Pakistan: There is news of the death of several soldiers in the terrorist attack on Sunday in Balochistan, Pakistan. So far only 4 jawans have been confirmed martyred. The responsibility for this attack has been taken by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
Altogether, there have been 16 attacks on the army in Balochistan in the first six months of this year. According to a report, 37 soldiers have been killed in this. However, the Pakistani army has given information about the death of only 19 soldiers.
The attack took place in the Denpasar area which comes under Sherani tehsil. It has been said in some media reports that apart from the jawans, three policemen have also been killed. It is not yet clear whether the check post was bombed or the jawans and policemen were killed in the firing.
According to the report of ‘The Dawn’- After the attack, there was a firing for about 2 hours. Area Police Commissioner Bilal Shabbir confirmed the death of the four soldiers. 21 jawans were deployed on that post. This check post was also targeted two years ago. Some reports have claimed that a terrorist has also been killed in the firing.
According to reports- BLA has a stronghold in this area. This area is one of the most backward areas of Balochistan. A large number of Chinese citizens are present in this area. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is being built here.
However, its work has been closed for almost four years. Despite this, Chinese citizens are present here. These fishermen do everything from trawlers to laborers. A special unit of the Pakistan Army is deployed for their security. Despite this, attacks continue to happen to them.
Last year, the Pakistani army admitted to killing 10 soldiers after one of its officers mistakenly mentioned the attack in the media. Later this officer was dismissed.
