Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s health deteriorated after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin and he was admitted to a hospital in Moscow.
According to the information, his condition remains critical. This was informed by the opposition leader of Belarus, Valery Tsepalko. After meeting Putin, Lukashenko was taken to the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow. Belarusian President Lukashenko was known to have leaders close to Putin supporting his attack on Ukraine.
“According to preliminary information, after a closed meeting with Putin, Lukashenko was immediately taken to Moscow’s clinical hospital,” Tsepalko said in a tweet on Saturday.
He is currently kept under medical care. He added that the President of Belarus is under the supervision of “leading specialists” due to his serious condition and is being “cleansed of the blood”. He further said, ‘Lukashenko’s condition is not going to be taken from one place to another.’
Several media reports have claimed that Lukashenko looks very tired and his right hand is bandaged. He later dismissed the rumors saying, ‘I’m not going to die, guys! You will have to fight me for a long time to come.’
According to media reports, Lukashenko said during a meeting in early May that he was suffering from the common cold virus adenovirus.
