According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS) director Atul Garg, a building was reported to be leaning in the Shakarpur area on East Delhi’s Vikas Marg.
“After receiving the call, when we went to investigate, no tilt was found in the building. The neighbor called. The occupants of the building were not aware of the call.”
According to Delhi Police, a PCR call was received regarding the tilting of the building in Shakarpur police station area. Police fire services and DDMA rushed to the spot, identified as building number D-75A, but no apparent crack or tilt was observed.
The caller, identified as Jagdish Chandler of the building, said he called after suspecting he was under the influence of alcohol, but was opposed by other residents and neighbors. Police said the DDMA was suggested to inform the MCD for physical inspection by civil engineers.
