Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser has said that a new process has been started in the matter of sending about 700 Indian students back to the country. According to Fraser – The Canadian government does not want to let the students suffer because they are currently struggling with mental pressure.
Canada’s Immigration Ministry in March detected forged admission and some other documents of about 700 Indian students. After this, letters were also issued to deport him to India. Later this process was stopped. The Government of India had taken up this issue with Canada.
Foreign Minister Jaishankar has talked to the Canadian Foreign Minister twice about this. Recently Jaishankar said- Canadians say they didn’t study in the college they should have been in and they got into trouble when they applied for work permits. We have taken up this matter since the beginning and we say that the students have completed their studies honestly.
Jaishankar further said – If there are people who mislead him, then action should be taken against the guilty parties. It is wrong to punish a student who is studying with good intentions. I think Canada also believes that it would be wrong to punish a student if he has done nothing wrong.
Jagmeet Singh, leader of the New Democratic Party in the Parliament of Canada, has sought an answer from PM Justin Trudeau. On this Todaro said – We want to identify the culprits and get them punished. No action will be taken against any victim. We will give them the full opportunity to present their case and present evidence related to it. International students are the capital of our country. They play an important role in the development of Canada.
