At the Vipra Mahakumbh event in Mehandipur Balaji of Dausa, Rajasthan, political leaders demanded political reservation for the economically weaker section (EWS) of the society. The event saw leaders from both Congress and BJP, including Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, coming together to demand reservation for EWS, which they say is different from the Special Backward Class (SBC) and needs separate reservation.
Tiwar emphasized that this demand is not just for Brahmin priests but for the entire Hindu society, including Gurjars, Rajputs, and other communities. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing 10 percent reservation for EWS through a constitutional amendment.
Other leaders at the event emphasized the need for educational and economic opportunities for the youth and women of the society. They called for the construction of hostels and educational institutions for economically weaker sections, with a focus on removing social and economic disparities prevailing in society.
The event was aimed at uniting the Vipra community socially, politically, and economically to pave the way for progress and development of the community. The leaders stressed that reservation is necessary to level the playing field for all sections of society and ensure that the economically backward class gets all the facilities provided to other communities.
Overall, the Vipra Mahakumbh event highlighted the importance of social justice and equality in building a strong and prosperous society.
