Cyclonic storm Biparjoy is likely to hit the coast of Kutch in Gujarat on June 15. However, the effect of Cyclone Biparajoy is likely to extend from Mumbai to Kerala. During this, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rains in Gujarat.
Due to the Biparjoy storm, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Gujarat’s Kutch, Devbhoomi, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, and Morbi in the next two-three days.
Along with Saurashtra and Kutch, a warning of strong wind has been issued in Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, and Morbi. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of about 65 kmph on Tuesday (June 13). At the same time, on June 14, the wind speed can be 60 to 70 km.
The wind speed reached 85 kmph on the coasts of Porbandar in the Dwarka district on 14 June. The wind speed is likely to be 125 to 150 kmph from the morning of the 15th for the next 12 hours. From June 16, the wind speed will start decreasing and the speed can remain up to 45-55 km.
There is a possibility of water-logging in low-lying areas at the time of landslides in parts of Kutch, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, and Morbi in Gujarat. Along with this, the astronomical tide (tide) can be up to 3-6 meters in many places.
