US-Russia: The Russian Private Wagner mutinied on 23 June. The army captured the city of Rostov and the military headquarters. Later, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko brokered a deal between Wagner and Putin. Wagner’s men then retreated and Prigozhin was ordered to leave Russia and go to Belarus.
According to the report- NATO’s charter clearly states that its members will share intelligence. Despite this, America only informed Britain about this but did not allow the rest of the member countries to even get a clue of the fire burning in the country against Putin.
According to the report – American intelligence agencies had come to know several weeks ago that the Wagner Group was about to move towards Moscow and its aim was to topple Putin’s government and capture Moscow.
This was also indicated in the report of the Washington Post on 24 June. According to this – American intelligence officers had informed the White House about this long back.
The same report also claimed that the US was aware of the mutiny, but had no concrete information about the date and time. Intelligence reports were also shared with the Pentagon and some lawmakers.
