The Indian Home Minister recently announced that the police department has submitted a proposal to create a total of 4536 posts of sub-inspectors, assistant sub-inspectors, and head constables in an effort to bring equality to the promotion process. The 1848 assistant sub-inspector posts will include 17 to 90 male posts and 58 female posts, while the 718 head constable posts will include 694 male and 24 female posts.
