The Uttar Pradesh government has taken strong action against the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. On Wednesday morning, a two-storey house belonging to Zafar Ahmed in Chakia locality of Dhumanganj police station area was demolished by the Prayagraj Development Authority with a bulldozer. A Talwar pistol rifle was also found in Zafar’s house. The market value of the house was estimated to be around Rs 3 crore.
Atiq Ahmed’s Wife and Brother-in-Law Detained as Police Take Swift Action in Umesh Pal Murder Case
Atiq Ahmed, a known mafia don and former MP, used to live in the same house that Gira rented. Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen has been named as an accused in the murder case and is currently absconding. Police are collecting information about her, and Zainab, the wife of Atiq’s brother Ashraf, has been detained for questioning.
Police have recovered a WhatsApp conversation between Sadaqat Khan and Atiq’s minor son Exam on the day of Umesh’s murder. Some messages were deleted. In a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Shaista Parveen has demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder case.
After the murder, CM Yogi had announced in the assembly that he would take strong action against the mafia. The police have already encountered one accused and arrested two others, including Nafees who sold Biryani and the owner of the Creta car used in the murder.
