Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary and said that his thoughts and ideals will always guide the countrymen.
PM Modi tweeted, “Regards to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. His life always inspires patriotism, spirituality and hard work. His great thoughts and ideals will continue to guide the countrymen.”

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 26th National Youth Festival in Hubli, Karnataka at around 4 pm today. This year the theme of the festival is Developed Youth-Developed India. The event is organized on National Youth Day which is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda to remember his thoughts, teachings and contribution.
Swami Vivekananda believed that every youth can contribute in nation building. He said that the potential of the youth should be used at the right place and in the right way. He laid special emphasis on education to empower the youth. He always appealed to the youth that they should work hard to get out of their comfort zone so that they can achieve their goals. Vivekananda always used to say that his faith is in the young generation, the modern generation. He can fight all the problems like a lion.
