There has been a major plane crash in Nepal. A passenger plane going from Kathmandu to Pokhara has crashed near Pokhara. There were 68 passengers on board this aircraft. This crashed plane is being told of Yeti Airlines Of Nepal.
The aircraft carrying 67 passengers and four crew members crashed into a nearby hill before landing at Pokhara airport. After the crash, the plane turned into a ball of fire in the sky itself. Some part of the aircraft has fallen in the river. At present, massive relief and rescue work has been started by closing the Pokhara airport. It is being told that the accident happened due to bad weather.
There were 14 foreigners including 5 Indian citizens in this plane. Nepal Army, Armed Police, Nepal Police as well as local citizens are engaged in the rescue operation. So far 68 bodies have been recovered during the rescue operation.
Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has expressed grief over the accident. PM Prachanda has given instructions to all government agencies for effective rescue work.
He also called an emergency meeting of the cabinet regarding the accident. Cabinet ministers of the government were present in the emergency meeting chaired by Prime Minister Prachanda.
The plane had reached near Pokhara that it crashed just 10 seconds before landing. According to Nepali media, the accident happened between Pokhara’s old domestic airport and Pokhara International Airport.
