This step of the government will help in further promoting Ease of Doing Business in the country. PAN is a 10 digit alphanumeric number allotted by the Income Tax Department to an individual, firm or entity.
Along with this, he also said that if the MSMEs fail to execute the contract, 95 percent of the performance security will be returned to the small businesses as part of the Vivad se Vishwas scheme. The Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme provides for settlement of disputed tax, interest, penalty or fee in respect of an assessment or reassessment order on payment of 100 per cent of the disputed tax and 25 per cent of the disputed penalty or interest or fee.
