There has been an uproar in Pakistan over the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. To arrest Imran Khan, a team of Islamabad Police has reached his house in Lahore. However, the police have not found Imran Khan here. Workers and party leaders have gathered outside Imran Khan’s house to protest against his arrest.
Senior leader of Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former minister Favad Chaudhary have warned the government not to cross the Red Line. Former foreign ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Omar are also present at Imran’s house to protest against his arrest.
Qureshi said – We are worried about Imran’s safety
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that we are a political party and we will also have a political approach for this situation. You do not need to panic, but need to be careful. Now we will meet Imran Khan. In response to a question, Qureshi said that the party’s only concern was about Imran’s safety.
Shovel warning warning
Fawad asked to prepare party employees across the country. He said that if the government crosses the red line, there would be a protest that Pakistan had never seen before. On the other hand, PTI Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi asked the supporters to panic. Police have claimed that they have reached Imran Khan’s house in Lahore with a non-bailable warrant against him. However, Qureshi has said that there is no arrest order in the police notice. Imran Khan and our legal team will hold a meeting at 2:30 pm and then announce our plan for action. Qureshi said that the party would follow the legal process in this regard.
74 cases against Imran Khan
Fawad Chaudhary said that 74 cases have been registered against Imran Khan. In all these cases it is not possible for any person to appear in court. He claimed that the purpose of Imran’s arrest was to postpone the upcoming general elections in Punjab. Fawad said that Imran has always respected the judiciary and appeared in court whenever he is called. But the government wants Imran Khan to go to court so that the terrorists can target him again.
