After the ODI series being played between India and New Zealand, Mohammad Siraj has now become the number one bowler in the world. ICC has released the latest ODI rankings in which this fast bowler is in the first place. Siraj has bowled brilliantly in the last one year and he has finally got his reward. He achieved the first position by leaving New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult behind. This is the first time that Siraj has become number one in the ODI format.

Mohammad Siraj made his ODI debut in the year 2019 but after some time he was dropped from the team. In February last year, Siraj made a comeback in this format and since then has remained the most reliable bowler of Team India. Since his return, Siraj has played 20 matches in which he has 37 wickets. Especially in the powerplay, Siraj is seen troubling every big batsman.
Siraj’s dangerous bowling
Recently, Siraj took nine wickets in the three ODI series against Sri Lanka. He was seen wreaking havoc on the Sri Lankan batsmen. At the same time, in the very first match of the series against New Zealand, he took four wickets. This match was played in his hometown Hyderabad. After this series, Siraj is now at number one with 729 rating points. On the other hand, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is second with 727 points and Kiwi fast bowler Trent Boult is in third place with 708 points. Apart from Siraj, Shami has also got a big advantage in the ranking. He has jumped 11 places to reach the 32nd position.
