Khatu Shyam Ji’s Lucky Fair, which began on 22nd February, has seen a massive influx of devotees from across the country. However, the tragic incident of a stampede during darshan last year has led the temple committee to make significant changes and improvements in their arrangements and safety measures.
To prevent any such mishap from happening again, the temple committee, along with the administration, has completely abolished the system of VIP darshan. The committee has made arrangements for darshan through 14 different lines, each paved with iron beri gates. The exit paths have been restructured to prevent any overcrowding, and 3 new ways have been created to ensure a smooth flow of devotees.
Furthermore, to ensure better crowd management, the temple committee has spent four crores to make a 40 feet road. This new road has been built to prevent any bottlenecking and to provide a smoother path for the devotees. The temple committee has also taken over the land near the garden to create a straight path and avoid any narrow passages.
The improved arrangements have resulted in better safety measures and a more efficient darshan system. The temple committee estimates that 90 to 120 devotees can have darshan in one minute with the new system. The new exit paths have also helped prevent any untoward incidents.
In conclusion, Khatu Shyam Ji’s Lucky Fair has seen better arrangements and improved safety measures this year, with a focus on ensuring the safety and convenience of the devotees. The temple committee’s efforts to create a smooth and efficient darshan system while preventing overcrowding and bottlenecking deserve praise.
