The third Test between India and Australia is set to take place at the Holkar Stadium in Indore starting from March 1st. India has already taken a 2-0 lead in the four-match series and is looking to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth time in a row.
Before the match, both teams have been practicing in Indore, with Team India’s batsmen KL Rahul and Shubman Gill having a batting practice together on Monday. Gill, who scored a century at this ground against New Zealand in January, may get a chance to replace the out-of-form KL Rahul and open the batting.
Meanwhile, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s form is also in a difficult phase. During practice, Kohli was seen continuously defending in front of the office while Rohit Sharma was hitting long shots against the spinners. Kohli also took the opportunity to practice slip catching with his fellow players.
With a batting-friendly pitch expected at Indore, both teams will be looking to put up a strong performance. India would like to register its second win against Australia in 19 years while Australia will be fighting to keep the series alive.
