A cell phone recovered from the wreckage of a crashed Yeti Airlines flight apparently captured the final, very disturbing moments of the flight. The twin-engine ATR 72 plane from Kathmandu – with 72 people on board – crashed shortly before landing in Pokhara, a major tourist destination in the Himalayan nation. At least 68 passengers have died.

The video, which is going viral on social media, begins with pictures of passengers sitting inside the plane and the city can be seen below the window, where the plane circles before landing. Suddenly there is an explosion and the screen turns upside down. The last few seconds show huge flames outside the window and cries of distraught passengers can be heard.
If sources are to be believed, the plane crashed 10 seconds before landing. The airport where the plane was to land was inaugurated only on January 1. Significantly, this is one of the worst accidents in Nepal in the last 30 years. This passenger plane crashed into a river valley on Sunday while landing at Pokhara airport, killing at least 68 people. There were 72 people including five Indian nationals on board the plane.
