In Assam these days, groups of Hindu society protest against the film Pathan, in view of which the government there has assured Shahrukh Khan that the film will also be released in Assam and its security will be taken care of by the government. will pass and care will be taken that there is no violence.
Shahrukh Khan, the superstar of the film Pathan, made a late night call to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in view of the rising protests. This call has gone from Shahrukh Khan when the CM had issued statements regarding the film a day earlier. He had said that he does not know any Shahrukh Khan. He even flatly refused to watch the film. Now Shahrukh has called the Chief Minister and expressed concern about the ongoing violent protest against the film.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan called him at around 2 am. During this, Khan expressed concern over the widespread protests in the state against the release of the upcoming film Pathan. Sarma said that he has assured Khan that the state government will ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the screening of ‘Pathan’.
Protests are also being held against the film in many cities of Assam. Bajrang Dal activists have descended into widespread violent protests. Bajrang Dal workers had also vandalized a cinema hall in Narengi, Guwahati. During this the posters of the film were also burnt.

The CM told that he assured that it is the duty of the state government to maintain law and order. There will be an inquiry regarding the matter. It will also be ensured that no such untoward incident takes place further.

Whereas, earlier when asked about the protest against the screening of Pathan, Sarma had said who is Shah Rukh Khan? Why should we care? We already have too many Shah Rukh Khans? He even said that he has not heard of any film named ‘Pathan’ nor do I have time for it.
